Your letter is a great example of seeing the world through the colored lens you choose rather than the reality. The country is pretty evenly divided. The next election will come down to who those few people in the middle who are undecided... as always...

Some things that will influence their choice...

If the border issues continue to fester that could bring down Biden's administration. If he loses control of Congress and his ability to spend our grandchildren's future, that will hurt him as the economy begins to slow from a lack of government fiscal stimulus.

If the current high inflation does not recede, it will undermine wage growth making people feel like they are experiencing stagflation again if you are older or for the first time if you are younger.

Crime rates are soaring in urban cities and people are blaming their mayors for now... but soon that will work its way up the chain to governors and then the President.

Biden is anything but charismatic and K. Harris got less than 1-2% popular support when she ran for President. So personality wise there are not many candidates that won't look good compared to Biden (unless you are that sort of person that likes to watch paint dry).

2024 will be a close election.

Though I don't think Pence will be "the guy" for the Republican party. I would prefer to see Tim Scott and Nikki Haley on the Republican ticket as it would really put a hole in Democratic political tactics (the Democrats have accused every Republican candidate this century of racism and Nazism, hard to see those things fly with a ticket comprise of Tim Scott and Nikki Haley). And the accusations of misogyny won't fly either.

Trump reshaped the Republican party into a party attractive to working men and women of all races as evidenced by his increased support among minorities. Continuing that trend will be important for Republicans.

I am not sure what Democrats would campaign under against two minority candidates including an African American and Asian Indian and a woman. They might have to campaign on the issues... and I just don't see Biden or Harris doing well in that case.
