You do realize that the progressive liberals have challenged virtually every right in the Bill of Rights in the last two years. And has also entertained packing the court thus undermining its status as an independent branch of the government as set up by the Constitution. They have also proposed ending the filibuster, which while not in the Constitution, has served the nation well.
Meanwhile, there are reasons why the overturning of Roe v Wade upset people, but Constitutionally it was the right thing to do. It was never enacted by an elected body and that is our Constitutional process for making law.
I do think there is a chance of a Constitutional convention as you point out, but it is extremely unlikely it would dissolve the Constitution. I would not be surprised to see an effort to limit federal power.
But I often wonder why progressive liberals feel so threatened by the limitation of Federal power. There are enough "progressive states" for them to live in without forcing more conservative states to comply with their ideology. Most of the tension in Congress is over federalism and the attempts mostly by the left, but sometimes by the right to impose their ideology on the country.
