You are correct, voters care more about what is real than the phony arguments Democrats make against the Republicans.

Candidate quality is no better or worse across both parties, if you are honest. And frankly, Clinton was no "angel", but he was an effective President... ditto, JFK. I would vote for both today, in spite of their sketchy morals.

For those worried about our governmental process, voting Republican really is the only option. While Democrats have made "democracy" an issue, there record of defending our countries institutions is extremely weak. Under Biden, packing the SCOTUS was considered, eliminating the filibuster pursued, federalizing the voting process under a Biden appointee was considered, creating a department to oversee "free speech and free press" in the name of "fact checking" was proposed. If you honestly believe in this country's Constitutional process, the threat won't come from a few hundred rabid rioters, but from within the government.

Most recently the intentional use of government agencies to target political opponents as testified by over 30 whistleblowers at the FBI and the retaliation against them by the agency should have Democrats fleeing for the doors if "democracy" is important.

What I do like about Trump's SCOTUS is their willingness to make decisions that they know will cost Republicans votes rather and potentially endanger their lives in the name of what is right. I agree with their decision to overturn Roe v Wade, not with respect to the issue of abortion, but how the law came to be. We are a democracy, we vote for laws, they are not supposed to be imposed on us by an unelected body of judges. Anyone that supports democracy should cheer for that ruling and then move on to the process of legislating abortion laws in their state that they can support. However, they turn out.
