Which country is your "model" country when it comes to how they react when a 1000 of the people including women and babies are murdered, raped, and decapitated. While hundreds of others are taken hostage? In evaluating Israel's response, it is useful to compare it to other nations suffering similar events... say 9/11 as an example.

Israel is not going anywhere and just as Muslims will fight to the death to keep Mecca under the control of Muslims, the Jews of Israel having faced centuries of antisemitic persecution to the point of genocide are not leaving Israel... period.

Israel's response to the October 7th attack is no surprise. Hamas clearly included Israel's response in its calculus. Knowing that, why did Hamas attack? What was their intent? What did they hope to gain? And so, one can only conclude Hamas decided that the death of thousands of Palestinians suited their goals? That the death of women and children was an acceptable price to pay. In effect, Hamas willingly signed the death warrants of women and children and made it impossible for Israel to respond without killing innocent women and children knowing Israel had no choice but to respond in the face of the atrocities of October 7.

The world is witnessing the sheer cruelty that Hamas is prepared to inflict on both Israelis and Palestinians in pursuit of their goals. Rather than over think Israel and the US, perhaps things much simpler. Hamas is fighting a war, and its strategy entails the deaths of women and children. Imagine the nation, that might emerge from a country that considers women and children useful tools in executing military strategy?
