When I married my Asian wife, her parents wondered why she would marry a "hairy" monkey (we tend to have much more body hair than Asians). All I cared about was my wife loved me, and we have been together 36 years. When my son married his wife from Zimbabwe, I am sure people have first impressions of my grandchildren. But here is the truth, the world is full of good people and bigots. There are more than enough good people to ignore the bigots. You won't change how they feel, and bigots come in all skin colors and ethnicities.
Some of my career success was built on "bigotry". If you don't discriminate, you can choose the most talented people from every racial group and ethnicity to build your company, while your competitors are trapped by their prejudice to fishing in a "small pond".
