We live in a diverse society that demands we treat people as individuals and not members of an identity group or we will face systemic racism in some form or another within our society.

Jim Crow laws were passed to discriminate against people based on skin color. Affirmative action does the same thing. Different skin color, but same concept... race.

Racial and ethnic identity groups have been the basis for racism and bigotry since time began.

I married a woman, who happens to be Asian. My eldest two children married Africans who happen to be black. That is how treating people as individuals works. You don't focus on skin color, ethnicity, and other immutable characteristics, you focus on character. Gay lacks it.

Selecting a President of a University because she is black (even if she is antisemitic) is how racism works. DEI is another form of racism... the goals of diversity, equal opportunity, and inclusion are noble, but the systemic use of race, religion, gender, ethnicity, etc. is what racism and bigotry are built on.

The nation sits at a crossroads. People like me want to see us return to a society where we combat racism and discrimination rather than embrace it as DEI and people like Gay do.
