Voters must consider many factors when voting for a candidate. Clearly, Hillary supporters were able to get past her lying and criminal behaviors and vote for her. Her husband committed perjury and lied to the world on television, but voters re-elected him. Obama lied when he told voters they could keep their health insurance (I lost mine due to the ACA). But he remained enormously popular. And no this is not deflecting; it is merely illustrating the point.

Santos clearly lied. His constituents will have the ability to determine if those lies are reason to no longer have him represent them. A lot will likely depend on who the alternative choices will be in 2024 and the job Santos does for his constituents between now and then.

As an example, while Clinton clearly lied, his policies worked. Obama lied, but most people still liked the ACA. Hillary lied, but she simply had too much other baggage to gain voter support.
