Trump is good and bad for the Republican party.
The interesting thing is that Trump's policies are why the Republican party has new life. The Neocons like Liz Cheney were out of touch with working Americans.
Trump redefined what it meant to be Republican in a way that is far more attractive to Americans especially minorities. On the other hand, his personality leaves a lot of Americans feeling cold.
Contrast this with Democrats, Democrats are increasingly the party of the progressive liberal elite (a weird form of socialism where the elite decide who gets what even as they pretend to be "anti rich" while getting richer).
More and more rank-and-file Democrats are asking themselves what they are doing in a party that does not protect workers (and even wants them to pay off the college loans of the over educated and underemployed children of the upper and middle class).
So, while Republicans do have the challenge of getting Trump to set down, Democrats have a bigger challenge... most of America has no interest in what they are selling.
