To be clear, are you arguing that Florida took a position against math and not one against ideological references contained within the math books? Because I believe it was the latter that was true. Making your heading a "lie". Unless you are you are saying math cannot be taught independent of ideology? Which would also be a lie.

Why use math as a "Trojan Horse" to teach ideology. Isn't the latter really committing a fraud upon the children, who rely on teachers not to "preach". Would you be object to math books that taught all math is a revelation of God's creation?

I have always believed that "pure math" unfiltered with ideology represents the single most powerful educational skill to help children escape poverty. So why pollute it?

My sense is progressives as Marxists do, that inculcating children with their ideology before children learn critical thinking is key to "converting" them. That is tragic and borders on unconscionable.
