This type of fearmongering has been in existence for around 5000 years. Nothing today, compares with the Bronze Age Collapse 3,000 years ago and we muddled through that as the world has every catastrophe.
"The party will end" when the earth gets hit be a huge meteor from outer space, the suns burns out (several billion years from now), the world unleashes its nuclear weapons, or some predator (man-made or natural like a virus evolves that humans cannot deal with or adjust to).
Climate change is the least of our worries. Will it impact the planet... you bet it will. Some parts of the planet will benefit tremendously with longer growing seasons and more CO2, other parts of he world will get negatively impacted. But that is nothing new... as noted, it has happened in the past as noted above (Bronze Age Collapse).
As for things being really bad... get serious... study some history if you think things are really bad now. I do think the world is going to go through a societal reorganization to account for the fact that populations will begin shrinking as they have in Japan (which has not collapsed because of it). Our entitlement systems will no longer work and extended families will have to come back into vogue.
