This is a serious question... can an African American refer to another African America with the N-word. My grandson is African American and asked me that question, since he watched an African American comedian using it.

I told him, if a word is inappropriate, it is best to let it die, then to keep it alive. Not every African American considers it "funny", when an African American uses the N-word.
