The recent trend in several places of Democrats registering as Republicans to influence the candidate the Republicans run in November is likely going to backfire.

I think Cheney is on the way out and the "tricks" she is playing to stay on, simply won't work. She is down 22 points and I think the real number is more than that. Meanwhile, only 20% of registered voters in Wyoming are Democrat, meaning if they all changed she would still lose and they all won't.

It would be like me registering Democrat in California, I think about it now and then, since we are basically a one party state, but at some level it seems dishonest.

In other states, the tactic might work, but I am not sure how much it will matter. The more unethical strategy is Democrats funding advertising in supporting an extreme Republican candidate in order to provide their more moderate candidate a change to win the moderate swing vote. Misleading people with regard to the source campaign ads is getting pretty low.
