The question was why black men in particular are abandoning the Democratic party. Not sure how your response addresses that question.

Our government exists to protect life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

That said, the government can't make everyone happy, and they should expect that those citizens they fail to please, to vote for "change". I see nothing wrong with that.

But I do think a government that fails to protect the human rights of its citizens and mandates behavior is not practicing good governance.
