Your point was that not every Jew or Christian was required to convert or die… I did not dispute that… but that was not the essence of the response… there was a convert or die element to the Muslim conquests if you were not “people of the book”.

Even if you were “people of the book” but did not accept your new lower “status”, you were put to death…

And in the early conquest of Spain many were simply put to death to establish control over Spain.

I really don’t know what your point was relative to the point of this thread that dominate nations throughout history impose harsh impositions on weaker groups… No need to respond… end of discussion… as you would say… I won’t respond again.
