So, you don' t agree with the Democratic pundit, that if DeSantis wins the primary, that Trump would give him a whole-hearted endorsement in exchange for a behind the scenes pardon and the ending of all Federal prosecutions of Trump?

I think Trump will win the nomination if multiple Republicans run for President past the first 3 primaries or so and divide the vote as they did in 2016. Trump has a lock on about 30-35% of the vote, but that leaves most of the vote for up for grabs.

Trump is also getting to the point where aging could come on fast as it has with Biden. At which point, DeSantis would become the obvious choice. Though frankly, I like Nikki Haley as someone that as both international experience and governor experience. In addition, as a woman and minority, she would really create a problem for the Democratic machine that is conditioned to attack Republicans as racist and misogynist. Imagine if the Dems got pushed to run on the issues.
