Since I found the topic silly, my response was likewise.
But the topic did cause me to learn some interesting factoids including the fact, that married people lean Republican, Republicans are more generous, and are procreating at higher rates.
Doubt the underlying drivers of those factoids are related to political party directly, but more likely related to which way people with certain values lean politically.
In other words, becoming Republican does not endow one with characteristics found among Republicans... and I think I make that clear when I say my conclusions "are tongue in cheek".
But as a happily married Republican (31 years) with five children and seven grandchildren (so far), who gives 10% of his income to charity and worked his ass off so his children could get through college debt free, I can relate to the Republican stereotype.
