Progressives view anyone that does not agree with them as racist, sexist and anti-LGBTQ, but that is silly. There are bigoted people in the world, some are conservative, and some are progressive.

One of the biggest challenges for progressives is that our society (American) was built on individual freedom. Trampling on individual freedom for "the greater good" sounds nobler than simply being bigoted, but both violate the core value of individual freedom.

I am certain you don't want some religious person forcing you to comply with their beliefs, any more than religious parents want a secular teacher telling their child what they should believe.

The problem for progressives is that their ideology does not work if you cannot compel people to do what you want for "the greater good". In that respect, traditional individualism only requires you tolerate others and not trample on their human and civil rights.
