Perhaps one of the most insightful verses reflecting Jesus and sin is with the women caught in adultery..

"Has no one condemned you?"11 She said, "No one, sir." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go your way, and from now on do not sin again."

A do over! Jesus grants us "do overs".

As Christians we live in a tough middle ground. We are to love sinners, no matter their sin, but also hate sin and not pretend sin is not sin. But that middle ground is precisely what we need to get better.

I am sinner and I know it. However, we can live with hope, because Jesus has made clear if we seek God our sins will be forgiven and hopefully someday "we will sin no more". Thus, we are not crushed by our sin, nor do we wallow in it. We confess it and move on.
