It reminds me of when I was walking in an African American neighborhood when I was younger and was told "You don't belong here". It was a polite warning to leave.
Everyday politicians use race as political weapons to influence people, claiming to be against racism and yet using it to their advantage.
I agree skin color should never influence how we feel about others. But it won't end until politicians, educators, and other people that benefit from "racial" politics stop using it to divide us.
You are victim of this divisive ideology. Just using the term "white privilege" means you have bought into an ideology that by its very intent is to divide people. Racists and assholes come in all colors including white and black.
It troubles me as the husband of an Asian woman and grandfather of five African American children to hear people constantly reducing the world to "color". I have been yelled at by people of all colors for things in my life, sometimes I deserved it, other times they were just assholes.
I lived beside a "white bitch" for several years and I finally got tired of her constantly threatening to call the police on me and my children, so I simply told her let's resolve this... call the police right now. I'll wait. After a minute of glaring at me, she deflated and stormed away... her reign of terror was over. I later learned that she had called the police so often for these type of things... that they simply did not respond to her calls anymore.
Unless you know this "Karen", you don't know what is behind her thinking... you presume it's your skin color because of her skin color. Doesn't that sound a bit "racist"? Maybe she is just a "bitch".
