It is not “conservatism” that causes me to attribute the current level of inflation to Biden’s policies and the Fed… it is the fact that both left, and right leaning economists have done so using persuasive arguments. Larry Summers being just one of them.
Larry Summers sends stark inflation warning to Joe Biden | CNN Business
Regarding my statement about the convergence of Biden’s policies and Fed policies, your argument is not with me, but the left leaning CNBC business media outlet owned by the left leaning NBC.
A quote from CNBC recent article on inflation…
More than a dozen economists, current and former administration officials, and former Fed officials — requesting anonymity to speak candidly about private discussions — point to a confluence of issues, including heavy Fed influence across the administration, overreliance on traditional forecasting, the political pressure to spend big, and a lack of urgency in deciding who would run the Federal Reserve and carry out its mission of managing inflation.”
Biden simply cannot engineer a transition to “green energy” without placing pressure on fossil fuel supplies and the corresponding prices. That is inflationary. Energy prices drive both energy and food prices and they have led this inflationary cycle.
You can support Biden’s policies without denying the “earth is round” or that they have contributed greatly to the current level of inflation. What makes me curious is “what realties do you think I am blind to… since as someone who earns his living investing in stocks and real estate… I don’t make money being blind to realities”
