Interestingly, Kamala Harris got about the same share of the white vote, that Joe Biden did in 2020. So clearly, her gender and race did not influence white voters, since they gave her the same support as a "white man".

So, it is offensive when you blame whites, when the evidence is that whites voted the same for Harris as they did for Biden. Given those stats, it appears race and gender did not influence the white vote.

So, let's try a dose of truth.

Rather than be shamed into voting for the "black candidate", blacks voted based on which candidate was more likely in their opinion to push policies that favor them. The same is true of Hispanics. Millions of blacks and Hispanics that voted for Biden, voted for Trump. This should be a "wake up" call to the Democratic party.

But as long as people believe race and sex was why Harris lost; they won't accept that the policies of Democrats are not resonating with minorities. The Democrats "owned" the minority vote under Obama, but every election since has shown erosion in that "ownership". As more and more minorities begin to vote based on their own self-interest and less based on group identity or historical party affiliation, then Democrats are going to have to try something very unusual... promote policies that really help people get ahead.
