In my youth, we were all going to die from nuclear holocaust. Every generation worries about the apocalypse and believes times are worse today than ever before. People have been brainwashed into thinking global warming is going to destroy a planet.

Worrying about the future has been a favorite past time of humans since humans began walking the earth. Humans are quite adaptable and forecasted future temperatures will make some parts of the planet far more inhabitable and others less so. As such it is more likely to set of migrations vs other calamities.
