In many ways, this article supports the claims that the land belongs to the Jews since they never accepted its occupation by the relatively recent migration of Arabs and other Muslims from various parts of the Ottoman Empire who claimed the land by right of conquest and emerged at the ethnic group referred to as Palestinians today.
The original landholders have returned to claim their land. And since that claim dates back to when God promised the land to Israel, the Jews will never stop seeking to claim it.
Throughout history various groups have conquered Israel. And the only certainty is that at some point the Jews will return to claim the land God promised them. Those that relied on the promises of the Ottomans are no different than those that relied on the promises of the Romans, the Greeks, or the Crusaders. Those promises were voided when the conquerors lost their hold over the land and the Jews returned to claim their birthright.
I don't condone the violence of past Zionist or Palestinian groups. I do believe war should be conducted without subjecting women and children to rape and murder. But I also think until the Palestinians fully embrace a two-state solution and recognize Israel's right to exist, they are going to end up being used by terrorist groups whose leaders have gotten wealthy on their misery.
