If you take a global view, you will find every race on the planet enacted laws to institutionalize racism and slavery.

What is more surprising is that it was western nations that lead the effort to end those laws. Your personal views of racism are in fact shaped by western European (dare I say it... "white" thought). Look at the laws in America, which anti-discrimination laws intended to end systemic racism were not passed by "white" people. Let's never forget that.

So, you can attempt to divide people, but keep in mind, that thanks to western "thought",slavery and racism to the extent possible was outlawed "legally". Of course, there are other parts of the world where that is less true.

So, you are correct, whites passed laws like other races that codified racism like Jim Crow laws. But whites also passed laws that outlawed systemic racism. As you look around the world, have other nations done that?

Everything you think about racism is shaped by "western" thought. Look at the racism going on in South Africa today. A race once oppressed by apartheid is slowly adopting more and more racist laws as well as laws discriminating against other blacks.

We need to educate our children in the values that changed the western world from being like the rest of the world to the idea that all people are created equal in God's eyes and deserve life, liberty, and the right to pursue happiness.
