I think we both know where each other stands.

Switching to news today... there are several major cases moving through the court system. One is specific to hiring pilots. The lawsuit says any form of DEI or Affirmative Action violates Title VII and more importantly puts the public at risk.

If the lawsuits prevail any attempt to implement DEI could result in substantial penalties to employers for potentially endangering the public in addition, to penalties for violating Title VII.

Historically, companies avoided Title VII suits by either using Affirmative Action as a "safe haven" or reducing the qualifications for a position. But if lawyers prove such practices endanger the public, do you think attempts to manage group identity outcomes will be abandoned?

Do you think we will have a two-tier jobs market. One where if there is no evidence that hiring the best person for the job will have a measurable impact on public safety and the other where this a measurable impact on public safety.

In other words, will public safety matter, but individual rights under Title VII not matter?

How does your opinion change if at all, when predictions are in states like California, white males of European descent will likely represent less than 12% of the population within 5-10 years. Will transpeople be entitled to their own "identity" quotas? How about gay people? How about people with disabilities?

It seems easier not to discriminate against people, then trying to design a company built around identity group equity.
