I think the term "the facts don't make sense" applies to situations where "the facts" are really opinions masking as facts.

Another example is that Biden did not cause inflation because the world is going through inflation. That is not a fact but an opinion, it could be true that global leaders following similar policies are contributing to global inflation or it may be true that global trends are impacting inflation globally or they could both be true or neither be true.

A big one these days are what impact climate change will have on the planet. It is a fact that the climate is changing. And CO2 levels are most likely impacting that change. But once you get beyond that, facts become opinions and the science is less certain.

I like Tucker Carlson, not because I agree with him, but because he does not "run with the crowd" either conservative or liberal. He is an opponent to our support of Ukraine, I on the other hand believe the US should support Ukraine. Sadly, to many people these days can't handle an opinion they don't agree with and consider their opinion are "facts" someone else's opinions are lies.
