I think Scott would make an excellent President, he is not my first choice, but he ranks above Trump among the Republicans running for the nomination.

Besides sound policies, Scott is a representative of the new Republican party in the South. He is an anathema to Democrats. Proof that Republicans vote on issues and not skin color. Nothing is more "deep South" than South Carolina Yet South Carolinian whites elected a black man to be their Senator and woman of color to be their governor in the recent past.

Scott is not trying to be a "white" man. If he were, I would never vote for him. I want him to a "free" black man not bound to the chains of the Democratic party, that tries to cancel anyone black person that thinks for himself or herself.

Nothing denies black Americans their rights as individuals than the repeated attacks of progressive liberals against any black conservative, who only sin is not towing the party line. Try to think of the last time, a black conservative man was held up as a great example of an independent black thinker, that simply disagrees with Democratic policies.

America is not a racist country. We have racists of all colors living here, but what makes us special as a nation is the majority of all people in this country respect the rights of all Americans to be free, to live, and to pursue happiness. We can't eliminate racism, but we can make it illegal in the marketplace, in the workplace, and in our laws.

Who cares who Scott is dating? I hope he is happy. I lucked out 34 years ago, when I met my wife and the fact that she is not white, did not matter then or now.
