I think RFK,Jr's positions have been taken out of context. The single most important thing any HHS Secretary could accomplish is re-educate Americans regarding what constitutes a healthy diet and to ensure Americans have full access to all pharma research. The opposition to these goals come from "Big Food" and "Big Pharma".

Big Food produces processed foods high in carbs and Big Pharm produces drugs to manage the metabolic diseases that Big Food's products cause. With billions in sales and profits at risk if America becomes healthier, lobbyists are knocking on every Senator's door painting RFK, Jr as "nuts". Meanwhile, American citizens are far more likely to die young due to metabolic disease, then if the government does not mandate that they get vaccinated.

Trump or candidates with even more conservative views than Trump collectively received over 50% of the popular vote. So, while the popular vote does not mean anything, for those that follow it, keep in mind, people want Trump to enact his policies or ones to the right of his policies.
