I think Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter will largely negate the purpose for which Truth Social was created. Suspicions of censorship at Twitter have been confirmed and all that is left is to prosecute Dorsey for lying to Congress.
I don't subscribe to Truth Social, but I have reengaged with Twitter since Musk purchased the platform.
Looking at this from 10,000 feet, it becomes clear when a social platform practices politically bigotry, it encourages competition. People would prefer a single "utility", but to function in that role, the "utility" has to be apolitical and truly allow free speech. If it doesn't it will not only attract competition, but also lose users.
Perhaps in its own way, it is confirmation that given time, the marketplace will punish discrimination even if it is based on political ideology.
