I have said slavery was a horrible institution that existed as far back as humans have records. Again, Europeans and Americans were responsible for ending slavery as a prevalent institution, though it continues today especially in parts of Africa. And it is starting to appear appear in the US in the form of sex and human trafficking.

So as someone with roots in slavery, what are you doing about ending it today. You say its sad and wrong (which I agree with), but are doing anything to end it?

Slavery Still Exists Today — Center for Global Justice (regent.edu)

Our family is supports organization involved in trying to stop the sex trafficking of illegal immigrants along the I5 corridor of California. I can’t say we do enough, but we try to stay informed and contribute to their work. Sex trafficking of illegal immigrant girls is something we must stop… it starts with securing our borders so these poor girls are not brought over and sold into the sex industry.

Human trafficking is also becoming an increasing problem as illegal immigrants are sold into something not unlike “indentured servitude” where they work as slaves until their debts are paid off. If you care as much about slavery as you say, there are plenty of opportunities for you to do something about it. I encourage you to do so…

Calling people names is empty… but volunteering your time or contributing your money to end the practice is “real”.
