I don't really care what the PC crowd thinks... that is pretty obvious in my defense of Trump's presidency on other threads (not the person, but many of his policies). Quite un PC of me.
I don't see why you think I sold out my daughter... I am proud of all four of them. But as I said each person has physical, cognitive, and personality preferences that they are attracted when searching for "mates".
As preferences go, I prefer women to have "some color". That is a change, since as mentioned earlier in my life I mostly dated tall blonde women. Hence my blonde fair skinned daughter.
Perhaps because my mom died of melanoma, I find "fair skin" less attractive then I once did. Having worked in health care I know how damaging the sun can be to those with fair skin. Many of my fair skinned older golfing buddies are missing parts of their nose and ears from sun damage.
Sadly, most fair skinned women spend far to much time tanning themselves when they should not. My suggestion for those women is the same as my suggestion for my daughter, if you want to add color to your complexion use "safe" makeup that doesn't damage your pores, but gives your face some contrast.
Experts have written on skin color, make up, and fashion, so it must be "a thing". And humans are programmed to have preferences... I have a right to have my own and that does not mean I am selling one of my daughter out.
But the essence of my response was physical beauty including skin color are superficial like a book cover and longer term other factors like personality and intelligence contribute to one's perception of "beauty".
