I did not say it will be the same... I said they will encounter racism. I live in California, only around 25% of the population is European white (37% if you include non-European whites including people from the Middle East and India).

Within 20 more years, they will likely fall below 20%. Blacks are falling also, but more slowly. Mixed race is the fastest growing on a percentage basis, and Hispanics are the largest group and growing fastest in absolute numbers.

Other parts of the country are trailing our demographics, but for the most part is heading in the same direction.

There are two groups of blacks in broad terms. And those same two groups exist in every racial group: rich and poor. I do believe poor blacks and the poor of every racial group will face huge challenges even more than they do today because of immigration.

I am not anti-immigration, but to many of the immigrants crossing our southern border don't have the right skills and so end up competing for the jobs, housing, and the social services that the poor rely on... that is not racism, but it can be disenfranchising...

I think the "richer" blacks with college educations like my grandchildren will blend into the new America... comprise of people of all skin colors.

I am almost 70, you appear much younger... you can remember me 20 years from now and say I told you so.
