I am so sad that Russia rather than "join" the EU and "NATO" has chosen to oppose it. Russia will never have the economy or population to be a superpower and the more it tries to extend its hedgemony over nations not interested in being under Russia's heel, the more it sets itself up for collapse. Empires, no matter how they are structured are fragile things.

Putin has set Russia back a century. So sad.
