I am mostly with you. It is time for the world to make clear that it will collectively act against rogue countries, that exercise raw power against its neighbors and often against their own people in the name of socialism. But you are absolutely wrong about capitalism, when you say...

Capitalism profits from despair. It engineers trauma.

Capitalism is when owners profit by satisfying consumers. In other words, making people "happy".

Because capitalism by its nature is decentralized, it does not have the power to do what you say. That relies totally on a more centralized power ideology like socialism.

Because socialism does not depend "consumer satisfaction", the government can justify what it does in the name of "the greater good" and thus all actions undertaken by a government are for the "greater good" of its people in the eyes of the "party elite" who control the government.

Fascism and communism are extreme forms of socialism. One step separates these forms of government from autocracy. While socialism is an "economic" and not a "political" system, it reliance on government centralized planning concentrates power as much as any autocracy does... and concentrated power is the root of most evil in the world... since individual happiness becomes unimportant.

Socialism does not care, whether people are happy or not, since it believes the happiness or despair of individuals is unimportant as long as it convinces itself that what it is doing is for the "greater good" of the nation. In essence, there is nothing in socialism that demands it satisfies individuals, unlike capitalism where failure to satisfy "consumers" means "no business" and "no profit".

China's genocide against the Uighurs is justified as being for the benefit of all of China by eliminating those that "don't fit". The Oligarchs of Russia are not interested in "capitalism" which "invites" competition but prefer socialism where the "state" grants them monopolies for the "greater good".

But I think we can agree these "elite based" one party governments that propose to represent "the people" but have caused so much pain and suffering in the world is something the world must reject.
