Have you worked with OB/GYNs? My sense is you have not. My point was I have not witnessed black women being discriminated against by physicians or hospitals in our health care system and so that suggests the reason for a low MMR with black women is due to other factors.
Finding and understanding what those other factors are will produce better outcomes like better prenatal care to poor women of all races. Sorry, I thought the goal was to help black women and their babies live.
Meanwhile, I am confident that when my two black granddaughters grow up, they will get excellent medical care that their mothers did... one black mother, one white mother.
