Have you ever voted for a candidate that lied. If you voted for Biden, the answer is yes. Why did you vote for him? Because he was a liar, or you preferred Biden over Trump. If you voted for Trump. Has he ever lied. Of course, he has, but you voted for him anyways. In both case, constituents voted for liars and in both cases the history of their lying was not unknown.
Yes, I have exposed myself as a pragmatist when it comes to politics.
Now if Santos takes bribes to introduce legislation that would bother me and under those conditions, he should be expelled.
Of course, taking bribes was not enough for his fellow Democrats in the Senate to condemn Menendez. So are you all upset that he is still serving in the Senate?
Hillary Clinton took hundreds of millions in donations through the Clinton Foundation... did that bother you? It certainly did not bother millions of Democrats that voted for her anyways. Bill Clinton got over $500K for speaking when Hillary was Secretary of State (his fees have gone down substantially since). Has he lost the gift of speech or were those bribes.
Again, the hypocrisy of the left when it comes to how the same issues involving a Democrat are treated by them is disturbing.
At the end of day, when it comes to politicians, since I believe they all lie, finding out that a politician lied does not bother me. But if they take bribes as evidenced by them doing something for the money, they should be expelled. I also have no issue with prosecuting politicians, but I do get disturbed when such actions seem to be politically driven rather than equally applied.
Now an honest question for you, how many politicians have you voted for knowing that they lied... if you voted for Biden, Trump, or Obama, you could count as least one. Why did you vote for them, knowing they had all lied?
