Excluding personal issues, to be happy most people want to be able to look forward to the future and see increasing real wages, job growth opportunities, and less crime. At present Americans don't see that happening under our President and Congress and that is depressing.

To change how people feel about the future, we need to change how people feel about tomorrow. People expect to be poorer tomorrow and less safe, that colors everything else they feel about the future.
