Congress is not a court. Which agency of government were they “overseeing” when they called Lewandowski? Are they searching for a “crime” or investigating one? If they are investigating one what evidence do they have that a crime was committed. If our Congress wastes its time pursuing “fishing expeditions” against the opposition, then we should expect that they will be mocked by those who know this is simply “drama”. Perhaps if they are mocked often enough they will stop the playing politics and get to work.

I am sick and tired of Congress usurping my job (as a voter). I decide along with my fellow Americans who is President, not Congress. With less than a year to go, we will decide again who will be President. If the Democrats think they have enough to impeach Trump then call the vote. Stop using Congress as a free source of political advertising. That is not what I am paying them for.

There are plenty of issues with bipartisan support that need Congressional action. Congress should get it done. If things continue as they have most Americans will have to conclude that the House of Representatives squandered two years achieving almost nothing in the name of partisan politics and we the voters will have to think strongly about returning those Democrats from contested districts like mine to Washington if they can’t convince their leadership to focus on bipartisan issues.

Most Americans do not want single party rule, because we want to see Congress focus their energies on the real job of finding acceptable compromises between conflicting positions. This is hard work and this is why we pay them… we don’t pay them to constantly attack the other side of the aisle or the White House or the Supreme Court or non government representatives of the other party.

If Congress does want to call someone, then call the Inspector General and ask him what he has found with respect to his investigation of abuses by government officials in the 2016 election. This is their job. Overseeing the behavior of government officials and figuring out the weaknesses and legislating to prevent such behavior in the future.
