Can you clarify whose service Vance minimized?

My understanding is that Vance respects everyone's service including Walz's. What he does not like is people misrepresenting their service.

Walz's service was honorable, and he should be proud of it. But he should not represent his service as something it was not. He has done that multiple times about different aspects of his service and that is highly offensive to many veterans.

I know many people that served in Iran and Afghanistan including a few who suffered PTSD and still are suffering from it.

Everyone who serves in the military deserves respect, but anyone who served in the military knows what stolen valor is. And Vance is pointing out what every veteran understands.

For those that don't understand the term, it means to lie about your military service, rank, recognition, or identity. Walz is guilty of this. If this matters as it does to many veterans, then it is a reason to vote against Walz.

If it does not matter, then Walz should be respected for the 24 years he did serve. I have heard no one disparage Walz's service, only his stolen valor.
