Biden strongest criticism of Pelosi yet!
As Biden urges Congress to pass the stimulus package, he emphasized that we “don’t have time to waste”. Yet that is exactly what Pelosi did during the last weeks of the Trump presidency. Only a partisan or idiot could not make the connection that Pelosi’s delays have added to today’s urgency as more and more Americans slipped under the poverty line as the economy burned while Pelosi played her fiddle. Pelosi put clearly put politics and her hate of Trump ahead of the nation and Biden’s declaration of that we have reached an urgent state unknowingly confirmed this.
Even weeks after Trump has left office and Biden is stressing the urgency of Covid stimulus, Pelosi and Schumer are more intent on carrying out a monkey trial impeachment of an ex President, then passing a bipartisan stimulus bill that Biden says is so urgent we don’t have time to waste…
Pelosi and Schumer should be sanctioned for their failure to focus on the needs of the nation and as they pursue a political agenda that places Americans lives at risk because of their failure to focus on the important and be distracted by the unimportant. And yes this is one case where you can’t chew gum and do other things at the same time. Impeachments don’t work that way.
Americans should be disgusted at this colossal waste of taxpayer’s money at a time taxpayer money is being stretched thin given that 45 Republican Senators have made clear that the impeachment trial is going nowhere in a signed letter. How can any responsible leader in Congress have such misplaced priorities compelling them to pursue an ex President over the “urgent” needs of the nation. Time for their constituents to retire and replace them with representatives more interested in serving their districts and the nation, then their petty grudges.
Furthermore, the trial going nowhere rather than helping Americans during this Covid crisis undermines Biden’s other promise to lower the temperature and work towards bipartisan solutions. In just a few weeks Biden, with the help of Pelosi and Schumer have shredded Biden’s inaugural day speech making a mockery of Biden’s first promise as he assumed the Presidency.
These blunders, along with some of Biden’s own blunders in the form of zero bipartisan input on executive orders means Biden will have a two year presidency followed by a two year lame duck administration. Expect resistance along the way, even the most moderate Republicans and perhaps a moderate Democratic senator or two have been shocked by the actions of Biden and his total disregard of the legislative process.
We have a President legislating from the Oval Office and a Congress buried in impeachment trials… Maybe its time for the Supreme Court to declare the impeachment trial unconstitutional and tell Biden to reign back on his executive orders or the Court will put a stay on each one as they explore the Constitutionality of each order over the next two years. Maybe then everyone will get back to doing government business as it was designed to be… but my guess is the Congress rather than do their jobs… will try to undermine the independence of the Supreme Court.
