Actually, I think Liz Cheney and Krysten Sinema should run as an independent third-party ticket.

I think the Democrats are more vulnerable to a third party with so many moderate Democrats underrepresented. Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema are more representative of a large number of Midwestern and Southern Democrats than the Democratic Party leadership.

On the Republican side, any split would be more selfish personality driven than ideology driven. If a new party emerged out of the Republican party, it would be similar to the new Democratic party comprised of Northeastern Republicans and few Republicans from urban areas.

A four party Congress might make for some legitimate "horse trading" compromise, rather than what we have now where one party waits to have control of both houses and the White House to ram through a few unpopular pieces of legislation.
