Actually, I am a former Democrat. I often voted for moderate Democrats when I lived in the Midwest, I tended to split my vote up until around 2010, when the Democrats stop offering candidates best described as socially liberal and fiscally conservative. That part of the Democratic party got wiped out as did the NeoCon wing of the Republican party.
So, it is fair to say, I definitely lean toward the new worker friendly Republican party because I think the middle class is the heart and soul of America. Not everyone is going to go to college and get a job in tech, but everyone should have access to an education including vocational school that offers them the chance to live a good life.
Living in progressive liberal California, which is the epicenter of progressive liberal Democratic policies, it is clear, that ideology does not work. It is driving good hard working middle citizens to leave the state. So, if wanting working class people to have a better life is a bad thing, then I am certainly guilty of that.
